About
A Musical Journey
Somerset Voices comprises some of the county’s best and most experienced singers, and gave its first concert in December 2017.
Graham Caldbeck, Conductor
A former choral scholar of Trinity College, Cambridge, and singer with the choirs of Guildford and Winchester Cathedrals, Graham Caldbeck has conducted a number of fine choirs, including Southern Voices in Hampshire, Nonsuch Singers in London & Somerset Chamber Choir, working with many top vocal soloists and orchestras in an extensive repertoire.
Peter King, Organist
Peter King is Organist Emeritus of Bath Abbey. While he was Director of Music the Abbey Choir broadcast regularly on BBC Radio 3 and visited Germany, Holland and France. Peter was responsible for founding the Abbey’s Girls’ Choir and for the installation of the Abbey’s magnificent Klais organ. His CDs have been acclaimed by both BBC Music Magazine and Gramophone. Peter plays on Sir Simon Rattle’s EMI recordings of Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony and Symphony-of-a-Thousand.
